Q: When are tuition and fees due?
A: The first day of classes for your program.
Q: How do I make a payment?
A: Step by Step instructions, FAQs, and Customer Support information can be found here.
Q: What happens if I miss the payment deadline?
A: If your tuition and fees are not paid by the first day of classes, you will be charged a $50 late fee along with interest charges.
Q: Can I make payments in instalments over the course of the semester?
A: No.
Q: Can I request permission to pay later or a payment extension?
A: Individual permission to pay later agreements are no longer available. For the Fall 2024 semester, a payment deferral may be granted for up to twenty business days after the start day of your program. You do not need to submit a request. Financial holds will be placed on any overdue accounts after this deferral period. No payment extensions will be extended beyond this date.
Q: What is a financial hold?
A: Students with financial holds placed on their accounts cannot return to their program or apply for another program. Their Self-Service and SAM accounts are disabled, and they cannot attend classes. Missing classes could prevent you from being able to complete your program, as critical course work may be missed.
Q: How do I have a financial hold removed from my account?
A: Students may only be reinstated after all accounts are paid in full. You must contact the Finance Team to have your access reinstated. This may take 1-2 business days. Before payment is made, it is imperative that you speak with your Program Manager to ensure you have not missed any critical course work while suspended that will prevent you from being able to successfully complete your program.
Q: I’ve decided to exit my program. Will I be eligible for a refund?
A: Partial tuition fee refunds will vary depending upon the reason for the request and the timing of the request. Please visit the Money Matters page on the college’s website to review these policies.
Q: How do I request a refund?
A: Information about how to collect a refund if you are entitled to one is here.
Q: How do I opt out of the Student Health Plan?
A: Instructions on how to opt out of the health plan are here.
Q: Is there a deadline to opt out of the Student Health Plan?
A: The opt out period is from August 12, 2024 to September 27, 2024.
Q: Where do I find out more information about Financial Aid (scholarships, student loans, government assistance, SkillsPEI)?
A: Information about Student Awards and Financial Aid can be found here.
Q: How do I know what portion of tuition and fees I owe if I’m funded by SkillsPEI or another external agency?
A: It is the responsibility of the student to confirm this with SkillsPEI or the external agency providing the funding.
Q: When is payment due for my portion of tuition and fees if I am being funded by SkillsPEI or another external agency?
A: The first day of classes for your program.
Q: I applied for a student loan last year. Am I automatically eligible again this year?
