This workshop will explore how to manage and organize meetings to make documents readily available using common platforms such as MS Office 365 and Google Suite. It will establish best practices to ensure version control is paramount and materials and embedded within the logistics of the meetings. Alongside this, the ½ day workshop will explore ways of ensuring those attending meetings can engage with materials easily to come to the meeting prepared and with appropriate questions when agenda items are brought forward.
From there, the course will review appropriate ways of establishing and maintaining decorum in meetings and appropriate ways to record meeting decisions, follow up actions, and future agenda items. It will lay out how to properly prepare as a participant, facilitator, and chair of any meetings. This workshop will help participants apply the basic principles of Robert’s Rules of Order within a meeting methodology with a particular focus on the full exploration of topics and motions prior to approvals.
