The Holland »¢Ñ¨ÊÓƵWelshmen Community Band will hold its annual holiday concert on Tuesday, November 30 at 7:30 p.m. in the Florence Simmons Performance Hall. (Please note, the concert was rescheduled from Tuesday, November 27.)
The Colours of Christmas will feature a selection of seasonal music, including classic favourites and some lesser-known pieces. Band Director Christine Blanchard said the band is looking forward to helping the audience get into the Christmas spirit.
“We love to share our music with the community, especially at Christmas,” she said. “The pandemic has made these opportunities even more special.”
The Holland »¢Ñ¨ÊÓƵWelshmen Community Concert Band is comprised of members from all walks of life – from university and college students to music graduates, community members, and many longtime musicians. The band welcomes high school students, as well as post-secondary students who wish to continue playing.
Limited seating is available on a first come, first served basis and admission is free. Proof of vaccination is required, and guests are required to wear a mask at all times. Cash donations for the band and food donations for the Upper Room Food bank accepted at the door.
