The Holland »¢Ñ¨ÊÓƵBoard of Governors is pleased to announce the appointment of Penny Walsh-McGuire as Chair of the Board of Governors. Ms. Walsh-McGuire is returning to the board after a one-year planned leave of absence and is taking over for Michael O’Brien as Chair of the Board. Gordon MacInnis is the current Vice Chair of the Board, and Chair of the Finance Committee.
Ms. Walsh-McGuire is pleased to serve as the 27th Chair of the Holland »¢Ñ¨ÊÓƵBoard of Governors. She has been an active member of the Finance Committee and Board of Governors since April 2017 and brings a wide variety of talents to this leadership position. She is currently the CEO of the Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce. Prior to joining the Chamber, Penny was Executive Director of »¢Ñ¨ÊÓƵ 2014 Inc. For this work, she was awarded the Governor General’s Medal for Meritorious Service. As Chief Marketing Officer for the Confederation Centre of the Arts, Penny led marketing and communications for the award-winning Atlantic Canada House at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. A graduate of Holland »¢Ñ¨ÊÓƵand UPEI, she holds a diploma in Events and Conventions Management, a Bachelor of Business Tourism and Hospitality and an Executive Master of Business Administration.
