Three Holland »¢Ñ¨ÊÓƵalumni were honoured recently at the Holland »¢Ñ¨ÊÓƵFoundation’s sixth annual Distinguished Alumni Awards dinner and award ceremony at the College’s Tourism and Culinary Centre. The late Chef John Ledwell, Paul Livingston, and Robert Webster are the recipients for 2013.
Holland »¢Ñ¨ÊÓƵPresident Brian McMillan said that Chef Ledwell, Mr. Livingston, and Mr. Webster are Holland »¢Ñ¨ÊÓƵalumni who have achieved great success in their careers, affected positive change in their communities, and serve as inspirational role models for current and future students.
“This year’s honorees have brought significant distinction and pride to our »¢Ñ¨ÊÓƵas leaders in their industries and their respective communities. It is with great pleasure that we acknowledge their contributions by naming them Distinguished Alumni of Holland College.”
“Alumni are an important part of the Holland »¢Ñ¨ÊÓƵfamily,” said Quentin Bevan, Board Chair for the Holland »¢Ñ¨ÊÓƵFoundation. “Celebrating the accomplishments of outstanding alumni who have excelled in their chosen careers is an annual »¢Ñ¨ÊÓƵhighlight. These outstanding individuals remind us of the quality and significant contributions made by our graduates.”
Nominations for the College’s Distinguished Alumni Awards are accepted year round and a public call for nominations is issued annually.
