Three chefs from The Culinary Institute of Canada were recognized for their achievements recently by regional and national organizations. Chef Blair Zinck was named Atlantic Chef of the Year by the Atlantic Chefs Association, Chef Hans Anderegg received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Canadian Culinary Federation, and Chef Austin Clement received a Leadership Excellence Award from the Association of Canadian Community Colleges (ACCC).
Holland »¢Ñ¨ÊÓƵPresident Dr. Brian McMillan said that these outstanding chefs exemplify the high professional and personal standards that are exhibited by the staff and faculty of the Culinary Institute of Canada.

Atlantic Chef of the Year award-winner Chef Blair Zinck was selected from nominees from each of the Atlantic Provinces at the Canadian Culinary Federation’s regional annual general meeting by branch presidents. The ACCC’s Awards of Excellence recognize and promote excellence in Canadian colleges, institutes and polytechnics. The awards showcase extraordinary contributions of individuals and programs to their institutions’ success and highlight the role colleges play in social, economic and cultural development. Chef Austin Clement received the silver award in this category. The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Chef Hans Anderegg by the Canadian Culinary Federation in recognition of his dedication to the industry and his commitment to the profession.
