The provincial chapter of the Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS) presented student awards to two promising students recently at the Information Technology Association of »¢Ñ¨ÊÓƵ’s annual gala dinner recently.
The recipients were Christopher Johnston, who is entering his second year in the Computer Information Systems program at Holland College, and UPEI Computer Science student Matthew Stewart.
Fraser Cameron, past president of CIPS, presented the awards.
“The provincial chapter of CIPS established the scholarships to support and encourage computer science and information systems students. By showing our support with these annual scholarships, we are ensuring that our industry will continue to have bright, committed individuals entering the information systems field,” he said.
