Holland »¢Ñ¨ÊÓƵwill participate in Project Hero, a scholarship program that provides financial aid for children of Canadian Forces personnel who have lost their lives while serving in an active mission, Holland »¢Ñ¨ÊÓƵPresident Dr. Brian McMillan announced today.
Starting in September 2010, Holland »¢Ñ¨ÊÓƵwill waive tuition for all one year certificate or two year diploma programs for eligible applicants. In order to be eligible for a Project Hero scholarship, recipients must be a dependant of a member of the Canadian Forces who lost his or her life as a result of being deployed on an international operation, under the age of 26, and accepted to Holland »¢Ñ¨ÊÓƵas a regular student.
"We are proud to be able to honour our fallen soldiers by ensuring that their dependants do not suffer further hardship as a result of their loved one's sacrifice," Dr. McMillan said. "It is one small way that we can show our appreciation for those who serve our country so selflessly."
