150 students received scholarships, bursaries and awards, totalling over $82,000 at the recent Holland »¢Ñ¨ÊÓƵStudent Awards Night.

Sponsored by Pepsi Bottling Group, the ceremony was held on Jan. 28 at The Atlantic Tourism and Hospitality Institute in Charlottetown.

Holland »¢Ñ¨ÊÓƵscholarships, bursaries and awards are available to students in good standing who are registered in college programs. The awards are based on specific criteria determined by the donor and on financial need.

Students are permitted to apply for one or more of the available awards by mid-October of the school year.

"The selection committees chose 150 students for recognition out of 2,200 applications," said Sylvia Poirier, registrar of Holland »¢Ñ¨ÊÓƵand emcee for the evening.

"The evening could not have been possible without the generosity of individuals, businesses and organizations who have contributed to the Holland »¢Ñ¨ÊÓƵFoundation," said Kim Horrelt, Chairperson of the Holland »¢Ñ¨ÊÓƵFoundation Board of Directors. "The college greatly appreciates their support of our students."
